The ebb and flow of life has brought music to the forefront and sometimes it has retreated to the background, but it has always been there. Coming from a musical family, it was inevitable Eva would make it a part of her life. She began studying piano at age 6, progressing through the usual recitals,  competitions and performances. Along the way, she and her girlfriends formed a band, and like so many, played at school assemblies, local fairs and events. She played piano and sang.

Being an excellent sight-reader, Eva began singing in local Los Angeles church choirs while teaching private piano lessons. Teaching would become her other calling as she also received a degree in elementary education and taught for many years in the public school system.

Her formal music education took place at the University of Southern California where she received a degree in Piano Performance, magna cum laude. During her time in college she studied classical piano, choral music, pop and jazz, and conducting and branched out into Early Music/Renaissance Music playing harpsichord, viola da gamba and recorder.

In the years after graduating, she developed her jazz, pop and songwriting chops, singing lead and playing synths in a live Pop/R&B cover band, and recording keyboards and vocals on others’ albums and projects. She was musical director for several musical theater productions and later became musical director and soloist with her music partner for weekly church services. Many of her songs were written and recorded her small home studio, starting off with a 4 track recorder, bouncing track to track, and eventually upgrading to a computer based system. Her current set up consists of a Korg Triton and Kurzweil PC4 as her main keyboard controllers utilizing ProTools for digital and live vocal recording.

Maintaining a 9:00-5:00 management job didn’t leave much free time to her musical pursuits…until recently. Her recently released project is her song, “Sure Thing”, with the help of a roster of stellar musicians, all of whom recorded virtually. The song was arranged, mixed and mastered by Maurizio Metalli in Italy. The recent release of this tune ushers in a new chapter in Eva’s musical journey.
Currently, she is writing several new tunes for upcoming production and release.
